Friends of Hope Cottage
Hope Cottage relies 100% on the community for its funding needs (food, meals, operations). The Friends of Hope Cottage is a volunteer group of individuals that host-manage fundraising events to help increase donations and community awareness. Most famous for (but not limited to) its Annual Thanksgiving Dinner in October that started approximately 20 years ago. Board of Hope Cottage
Reporting to the Halifax Particular Council (HPC, Society of St. Vincent de Paul), consists of 5-9 individuals and is responsible for the governance and compliance, financial and operational management, strategic planning and direction of Hope Cottage.
